As I mentioned in the presentation, the EasyCLA tool controls contributor permissions based on a set of whitelists. These whitelists are managed, per organization, by a CLA Manager, chosen by the organization.
In order to transition to the EasyCLA tool, we first need to identify a CLA Manager for each contributing organization. Since our most active contributing organizations are represented on the TSC, it makes sense to begin there.
We are asking that TSC members confer with their organizations to identify a CLA manager. Some considerations:
- To reiterate what I said in the presentation, this is a change in process, not in policy.
- If your organization is represented by more than one TSC member, please coordinate with each other on a selection.
- An individual who is already a CLA manager on another project (e.g., ONAP) may also be the CLA manager for OPNFV.
- Before identifying a CLA Manager, please make sure that the individual is fully authorized to perform this task by your management and/or legal department.
- LFN Member organizations will not have to sign an Authorization Form.
- The selected individual must have an LFID.
Please respond to this email with your organization's selection for CLA Manager. Include the following:
- Name
- email address
Once we've identified the CLA Managers, then we'll provide instructions for setting up a whitelist in EasyCLA. Note that the cutover is expected to happen some time in the 1st quarter of 2020.
